Clinique dentaire de l’Archipel opened its doors on October 18, 1993 at the geographic center of the Magdelen Islands. Its objective was to offer quality service using the highest standards of sterilization and technology. Dr. Sonia Lapointe and Dental Hygienist Micheline Martel were the founding members of the Clinic.

In 2003, Dr. Lapointe went on to specialize in Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba. Since then, she has been making regular visits to provide Islanders with orthodontic services.
In 2010, Dr. Jean-François Lefebvre came to lend a hand to the team. Originally from Terrebonne, he fell in love with the Islands and their inhabitants and settled here with his family. He is now the owner of the Clinic.

Time and perseverance has allowed for the formation of an incredible team. Three quality Dental Hygienists, Lysiane Cyr, Geneviève Martinet and Olivia Bourgeois, passionate about their profession and the Islands, have now joined the team. Also, since 2011, regular visits by Dr. Maxime Cormier, a Magdelen Islander by birth, allow us to ensure continuity with our customers. Finally, the team would not be complete without the support of a multi-talented Administrative Secretary, Mélanie Thériault, and a dedicated Dental Assistant, Karine Gagné.

At the Clinic, we take pride in making the widest range of treatments available to you. That’s why, in 2013, we secured the services of a Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Olivier Béchard, for specialized surgical treatments (wisdom tooth extractions, implant placements, biopsies, etc.).

And still after all these years, we continue our evolution with new methods and technologies in order to provide effective treatment. We are dedicated to continuous education and training in order to provide professional service in a welcoming and relaxed environment.
